Lab analyser interfacing
Results from your analyser straight onto the PingMeDoc™ result screen, over HL7 or ASTM. Honest status first: this is a pilot, with one machine class proven in a live lab so far.
Where we stand
The receiving, matching and instrument setup are built and proven against a real haematology analyser in a working lab. The in-lab program is still being hardened, which is why we call it a pilot and not a finished feature.
If a machine connection decides whether you buy, send us the make and model and we will say where it stands before you pay.
How it works
- A small program on a lab computer
- Analysers talk over your lab's own network or a serial cable. A cloud service cannot reach them directly, so a small always-on program on a computer in the lab listens and passes results up.
- HL7 or ASTM
- Most analysers speak one of the two, and many speak both. Which one is a setting on the machine. Results arrive matched to the sample barcode.
- Values land on the result screen
- The technician sees the machine's values against the right patient and test, checks them, and approves as usual. Nothing is released without a person.
- Typing stays available
- If the connection drops, or a machine is not connected, results are typed in the same screen. The lab never stops.
