Relief of wet/productive cough, chest congestion, mucus/thick phlegm associated with bronchitis and other respiratory tract infections/allergies
This is typically a combination cough syrup containing a mucolytic/expectorant and an antihistamine. It helps thin and loosen mucus so it can be coughed out more easily, and reduces allergy-related symptoms like runny nose and sneezing.
Shake well before use. Measure with a cup/spoon. Take as advised by the doctor, usually after food; maintain adequate fluid intake. Do not exceed the prescribed dose; for children use only on medical advice.
Common side effects of Ambrolite Levo Syrup may include:
May cause drowsiness—avoid driving/operating machinery. Use with caution in liver or kidney disease, asthma/COPD unless prescribed, peptic ulcer disease, glaucoma, prostate enlargement/urinary retention. Do not use with other cough/cold medicines without advice. Seek medical help if cough persists >7 days, high fever, shortness of breath, blood in sputum, or worsening symptoms.
