Founder's note
It is assisted. Connected. Accountable.
The opening
For most people in India, healthcare begins too late. It begins when the fever rises. When the parent collapses. When the report says something nobody explained.
We built PingMeDoc because that arc — “wait, panic, search, regret” — shouldn't be the default experience of getting medical help. Care should be available before the crisis, around the crisis, and after the crisis. Not just at the worst possible moment.
That is the simple idea behind everything we ship.
The AI principle
AI gives healthcare a chance to scale to a country of 1.4 billion people. It can read reports, surface red flags, draft summaries, route patients to the right specialist, and free doctors from paperwork.
But AI cannot be the doctor. It cannot be the person who looks at you and says “this needs to be seen today.” It cannot be the person who signs a certificate that an employer will rely on. It cannot be the person whose medical-council registration is on the line.
Our rule is short, and it shows up in every decision we make about the product:
AI can assist.
Doctors must decide.
— The PingMeDoc operating principle
Why we exist
The country has plenty of health apps. Plenty of pharmacy apps. Plenty of lab apps. Plenty of telemedicine apps. What it doesn't have is a single brand that ties them together — one a patient can hand to their parents, their employer, their insurer — and have all of them believe it.
PingMeDoc is being built as one care system : consultations, pharmacy, diagnostics, medical certificates, and longitudinal health records — under one brand, one accountability, one verifier.
What I believe

A company that does not treat AI as a gimmick.
A company that does not treat doctors as a formality.
A company that does not treat patients as order numbers.Dr. Balaji Krishnan · Founder, PingMeDoc
PingMeDoc is run by a team of registered doctors. I founded it in 2024 and continue to practise at the PingMeDoc Multispeciality Clinic in Kandigai, Chennai — a 24/7 physical facility that also serves as the teleconsult and pharmacy fulfilment node for patients across India.
Every medical certificate, prescription, and lab report on PingMeDoc is reviewed and signed by one of our doctors. Their name and medical-council registration appear on the document and on the public verification page. If a certificate cannot be verified at pingmedoc.com/verify, it is not from us.
The PingMeDoc standard
Does it make care easier to access?
If a feature, price, or process makes it harder for someone in a tier-3 town to reach a doctor, it does not ship. Access is the floor.
Does it improve medical clarity?
Reports without context, certificates without doctors, AI summaries without sources — these aren't clarity, they're noise. Each PingMeDoc artefact is human-explainable.
Does someone remain accountable?
Every document is signed by a real, named, registered doctor. Every certificate carries a public verification URL. If it can't be traced back to a person, it doesn't ship.
