Atenolol 50 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg
Hypertension (high blood pressure), Angina pectoris (chest pain) due to coronary artery disease
Atenolol is a selective beta-1 blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure and heart workload. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure. Together they provide better BP control and reduce angina symptoms.
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
Common side effects of Aten AM Tablet may include:
Do not stop abruptly (may worsen angina or cause rebound hypertension). Use with caution in asthma/COPD (may cause bronchospasm), diabetes (may mask hypoglycemia symptoms), peripheral vascular disease, thyroid disorders, and in patients with low heart rate, heart block, or heart failure unless advised by a cardiologist. Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly; may cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected.
