A cotton crepe bandage provides elastic compression and support to the affected area. It helps limit excessive movement, supports muscles/joints, and can reduce swelling by improving venous and lymphatic return.
Wrap the bandage evenly over the affected area with the required level of compression; avoid too tight application. Overlap each turn by about half the width and secure the end with clips/tape. Remove and reapply as needed; loosen if numbness, tingling, increased pain or discoloration occurs.
