Skin brightening creams typically work by reducing excess melanin formation and promoting even skin tone using depigmenting and antioxidant ingredients. Day creams may also hydrate the skin barrier and may include UV filters to reduce tanning and recurrence of spots.
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry face and neck in the morning. Use sunscreen on top if the product does not provide adequate SPF; reapply sunscreen as needed. Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin.
Mild burning, redness, irritation, dryness, itching
Patch test before first use. Stop use if severe irritation, swelling, or rash occurs. Avoid using with strong exfoliants/retinoids initially if sensitive. If pregnant/breastfeeding or under dermatology treatment, consult a dermatologist before use.
May increase irritation when used with retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide or other depigmenting agents; if combining, introduce gradually and use sunscreen.
