Do not use for weight loss. Use caution in heart disease, arrhythmias and elderly; start low and titrate. Monitor TSH regularly; overdose can cause chest pain, breathlessness or severe palpitations. May reduce bone density with long-term excess dose.

Calcium salts, iron salts, antacids (aluminum/magnesium), sucralfate, cholestyramine/colestipol, orlistat, rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, sertraline, warfarin (effect may increase), insulin/oral antidiabetics (dose may need adjustment)
