Relief of painful muscle spasm associated with acute musculoskeletal conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, sprains/strains, and other muscle spasm-related pain
Thiocolchicoside is a centrally acting muscle relaxant. It reduces muscle spasm by modulating inhibitory neurotransmission (primarily via GABA/glycine receptor pathways), leading to decreased muscle tone and pain.
Capsule for oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor, preferably after food with water. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration; usually used for short-term relief.
Drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, allergic skin reactions (rash/itching)
Schedule H medicine—use only on prescription. May cause drowsiness/dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected. Use with caution in liver disease and in elderly. Not recommended in pregnancy (especially 1st trimester) and generally avoided in breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor. Stop and seek medical help if signs of allergy occur. Use for the shortest duration as advised.
Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased drowsiness), sedatives/hypnotics, opioids, antihistamines (sedating), other muscle relaxants
