Monograph
Gel
Topical use for symptomatic relief of skin conditions such as irritation, redness, itching and minor inflammatory dermatoses (exact indication depends on label composition).
As a topical dermatological gel, it helps soothe the affected skin and reduce local inflammation/irritation. The exact mechanism depends on the active ingredients mentioned on the pack.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by a physician, usually 1–2 times daily. Use on clean, dry skin; avoid contact with eyes, mouth and broken skin unless advised.
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness, rash
For external use only. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation/allergy occurs. Avoid use on large areas or for prolonged duration without medical supervision. Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If pregnant/breastfeeding or using on children, consult a doctor.
If the gel contains corticosteroids/antibiotics/antifungals, avoid using other medicated creams on the same area unless prescribed; concomitant topical irritants (retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid) may increase irritation.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep cap tightly closed; do not freeze.
