Salbair Respules Solution 15 ml contains Levosalbutamol (Levalbuterol) 1.25 mg/2.5 mL inhalation solution (respirator solution). Prescription required.

Relief and prevention of bronchospasm in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including wheezing, shortness of breath and chest tightness

Levosalbutamol is a short-acting selective beta-2 agonist (SABA). It relaxes bronchial smooth muscles, leading to bronchodilation and improved airflow, providing quick relief from wheeze and breathlessness.

For inhalation use only via nebulizer/respirator as prescribed. Measure the prescribed dose and nebulize until the mist stops; use at regular intervals if advised. Can be used with or without food; do not swallow or inject. Do not mix with other nebulizer medicines unless instructed by a doctor.

Tremor, headache, nervousness, palpitations, fast heartbeat (tachycardia), throat irritation, cough, dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps

Use with caution in heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, hyperthyroidism, diabetes and seizure disorders. Overuse may worsen asthma control and can cause serious heart-related side effects and low potassium; seek medical help if breathing worsens or relief is short-lasting. Use caution in patients on diuretics or with hypokalemia. Nebulizer solutions should be used under medical advice in children and elderly.

Beta-blockers (may reduce effect), other sympathomimetics/bronchodilators (additive effects), MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants (increased cardiovascular effects), diuretics (increased risk of hypokalemia), digoxin (may reduce digoxin levels)

Store below 25°C, protect from light, keep container tightly closed. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
