Treatment of Melasma

Skinshine Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Hydroquinone, Mometasone, and Tretinoin—used for the treatment of melasma of the face. Hydroquinone reduces excess melanin formation in the skin, which helps lighten dark patches. Mometasone is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, and irritation associated with treatment. Tretinoin is a vitamin A derivative that promotes skin cell turnover, helping melanin to disperse more evenly. Together, these actions help improve the appearance of melasma when used for short-term, intermittent treatment under medical supervision.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by a doctor; for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and broken skin unless advised.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Do not use on open wounds or near eyes unless prescribed. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, redness, swelling or allergy occurs. If pregnant/breastfeeding or using on children, consult a doctor before use. Do not use for prolonged periods without medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light and moisture. Keep the tube tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
