Urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin conditions with itching
How Alerid Syrup Works
Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine. It blocks histamine (H1) receptors, reducing allergy symptoms like sneezing, itching, watery eyes and hives. It generally causes less drowsiness than older antihistamines, though sleepiness can still occur in some people.
Dosage & Directions
Take as prescribed by the doctor. Measure with a dosing cup/spoon; can be taken with or without food. If it causes drowsiness, prefer taking it in the evening; do not exceed recommended dose especially in children.
