Alprax 0.5 Tablet is used for Treatment of anxiety disorders, short-term relief of severe anxiety symptoms, panic disorder (with or without agoraphobia).
Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine that enhances the effect of GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. This reduces excessive nerve activity, producing anxiolytic, sedative and muscle-relaxant effects.
Dosage & Directions
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually 1-3 times daily. May be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water; do not stop suddenly—dose should be tapered under medical supervision.
