Atorvastatin 10 mg
High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia), mixed dyslipidemia, high triglycerides, prevention of heart attack and stroke in at-risk patients
Atorvastatin is a statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces cholesterol production in the liver. It lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides and can modestly raise HDL (“good”) cholesterol, helping reduce atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk.
Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet whole with water. Continue diet and lifestyle changes (low-fat diet, exercise) as advised; do not stop without medical advice.

Not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Inform doctor if you have liver disease, heavy alcohol use, hypothyroidism, kidney problems, or a history of muscle disorders. Seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/tenderness/weakness, fever, or dark urine (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Periodic liver function tests and lipid monitoring may be required.
