Aldonil Tablet is used in the treatment of diabetic nerve pain.

Aldonil Tablet is an aldose reductase inhibitor. It blocks the accumulation of sorbitol in cells, which has been related to causing diabetic nerve disease.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aldonil Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you feel shaky, sweaty, confused or unusually hungry, take sugar, glucose or a sweet drink at once and tell your doctor — these are signs your blood sugar has fallen too low. If a low-sugar episode happens while on an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor such as voglibose or acarbose, use glucose — ordinary sugar and sweets work more slowly. Tell your doctor about any new swelling of the ankles, breathlessness or sudden weight gain.

Low blood sugar is more likely when combined with insulin or a sulfonylurea.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
