Symptomatic relief of dry/irritating cough due to common cold or throat irritation, cough with allergy/post-nasal drip, relief from associated runny nose and sneezing
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex by acting on the cough center in the brain. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms like runny nose and sneezing and also has mild cough-suppressant action. Ammonium chloride and sodium citrate help loosen and thin mucus and soothe throat irritation.
