Symptomatic relief of dry/irritating cough due to common cold or throat irritation, cough with allergy/post-nasal drip, relief from associated runny nose and sneezing
How It Works
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex by acting on the cough center in the brain. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms like runny nose and sneezing and also has mild cough-suppressant action. Ammonium chloride and sodium citrate help loosen and thin mucus and soothe throat irritation.
Directions for Use
Shake well before use. Take the measured dose using a cup/spoon as advised on the label or by a doctor. Usually taken 2–3 times daily; may be taken with or without food. Do not exceed recommended dose; avoid use with other cough/cold products containing similar ingredients.
May cause drowsiness—avoid driving or operating machinery. Use with caution in asthma/COPD, glaucoma, enlarged prostate/urinary retention, liver disease, and in elderly patients. Not recommended for children without medical advice. Do not use if taking MAO inhibitors (or within 14 days of stopping) due to risk of serious reactions.
