Hyoscine butylbromide is an antispasmodic with peripheral anticholinergic action. It relaxes smooth muscles in the stomach, intestines, biliary and urinary tract by blocking muscarinic receptors, reducing spasms and pain.
Injection to be administered by a healthcare professional (IV/IM as prescribed). Dose depends on age and severity; follow doctor instructions. Seek urgent care if severe abdominal pain persists or is associated with fever/vomiting.
Common side effects of Buscogast Injection may include:
Use with caution in glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, prostatic enlargement/urinary retention, intestinal obstruction/ileus, tachyarrhythmias. May cause blurred vision/dizziness; avoid driving if affected. Seek medical help for allergic reactions or severe abdominal symptoms.
