Clopidogrel 75 mg
Prevention of atherothrombotic events (heart attack, stroke) in patients with recent MI or stroke, peripheral arterial disease, acute coronary syndrome; used after coronary stenting as advised
Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medicine that irreversibly blocks the platelet P2Y12 (ADP) receptor. This prevents platelet activation and aggregation, reducing formation of harmful blood clots in arteries.
Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time; can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water; do not stop without medical advice, especially after stent/ACS.
Common side effects of Clavix 75 Tablet may include:
Risk of serious bleeding; seek help for black stools, blood in vomit/urine, unusual bruising. Inform doctor before surgery/dental procedures. Use caution in liver disease, history of bleeding disorders, peptic ulcer. Rare: thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) signs include fever, weakness, neurological symptoms, low platelets. Some medicines (e.g., omeprazole/esomeprazole) can reduce effect.
