Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is insufficient; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled BP
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II effects. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (L/N-type) that dilates arteries and reduces vascular resistance, lowering blood pressure.
Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet whole with water. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
Common side effects of Eritel LN 40 Tablet may include:
May cause dizziness; use caution while driving initially. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and potassium. Use with caution in dehydration/low BP, kidney artery narrowing, heart failure. Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid during breastfeeding unless advised. Seek help for swelling of face/lips (angioedema) or severe hypotension.
