Rosuvastatin 10 mg + Fenofibrate 160 mg
Treatment of mixed dyslipidemia (high LDL cholesterol and high triglycerides), hypertriglyceridemia, and to reduce cardiovascular risk when lipid levels remain uncontrolled with diet/exercise alone.
Rosuvastatin is a statin that inhibits HMG‑CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis and increasing LDL clearance from blood. Fenofibrate activates PPAR‑alpha, increasing breakdown and clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins and improving HDL levels.
Take orally as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food (follow doctor advice); swallow whole with water. Continue diet, exercise and lifestyle measures; do not stop without medical advice.
Common side effects of Rozavel F 10 Tablet may include:
Risk of muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) increases with statin+fibrate—seek urgent care for unexplained muscle pain/weakness, fever or dark urine. Use with caution/avoid in active liver disease, severe kidney impairment, and gallbladder disease; periodic liver function tests and lipid monitoring may be needed. Fenofibrate can increase risk of gallstones and can affect kidney function; dose adjustment/monitoring may be required in elderly or renal impairment. Stop and consult doctor if jaundice, severe abdominal pain, pancreatitis symptoms, or allergic reaction occurs.
