Important Warnings

Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid during breastfeeding. Use with caution in liver disease, heavy alcohol use, hypothyroidism, kidney impairment, and in elderly due to higher muscle-related risk. Seek medical help if you develop unexplained muscle pain/weakness, fever, dark urine (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) or jaundice. Periodic lipid profile and liver function tests may be advised.

Drug Interactions

Storvas 10 Tablet may interact with the following:

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g.
clarithromycin/erythromycin
azole antifungals
HIV protease inhibitors) and grapefruit juice may increase atorvastatin levels and muscle toxicity risk; ciclosporin increases risk; fibrates (especially gemfibrozil)
niacin increase myopathy risk; warfarin may require INR monitoring; digoxin levels may increase; rifampicin and other enzyme inducers may reduce effect.
