Amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol are local antiseptics that help reduce growth of bacteria and some viruses in the mouth and throat. The lozenge base soothes the throat by increasing salivation and providing a demulcent effect, easing pain and irritation.
For oral use as a lozenge. Dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours as needed; do not chew or swallow whole. Use the lowest effective amount and follow pack instructions; do not exceed the recommended daily limit. Children should use only as per label/doctor advice and under adult supervision.

Do not use if allergic to any ingredients. If sore throat is severe, persists beyond 2–3 days, or is accompanied by fever, headache, nausea/vomiting, seek medical advice. Use with caution in children (choking risk; follow age guidance on pack). If you develop breathing difficulty, facial swelling, or severe rash, stop use and seek urgent care.
