Used for wound dressing, cleaning and swabbing of skin/wounds, absorbing blood/exudates, padding and protection under bandages/casts, general medical and first-aid hygiene.
Absorbent cotton is purified, bleached cotton fibres designed to be highly absorbent. It soaks up fluids and helps keep the area clean and dry, supporting hygienic wound care and dressing changes.
For external use only. Wash hands, take required amount of cotton with clean forceps/hands, and use for swabbing/cleaning or as a dressing/padding as advised by a healthcare professional. Use with antiseptic solution if required; discard after single use and do not reuse soiled cotton.
Common side effects of Surgicom Absorbent Cotton (IS 16468) may include:
External use only. Use sterile cotton for open wounds/surgical sites as advised; non-sterile cotton may increase infection risk. Do not insert into ear canal or deep wounds. Stop use and seek medical advice if rash, worsening pain, swelling, pus, fever, or delayed healing occurs. Keep away from fire/open flames (highly flammable). Do not use if pack is damaged, wet, or visibly contaminated.
