Important Warnings

May cause dizziness/fainting due to low blood pressure—rise slowly from sitting/lying positions and use caution while driving. Inform your eye surgeon before cataract/glaucoma surgery (risk of Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome). Use with caution in severe liver impairment; caution in severe kidney disease. Not indicated for women and children. Seek urgent care for allergic reactions or painful prolonged erection (priapism).

doxazosin
terazosin)
antihypertensives
PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil
tadalafil) may increase risk of hypotension; strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole
clarithromycin
ritonavir) and CYP2D6 inhibitors (paroxetine) can increase tamsulosin levels; cimetidine may increase levels; diclofenac/warfarin may affect clearance (monitor).
