Camphor 25% w/w, Menthol 10% w/w, Cajuput oil 13% w/w, Mint oil (Dementholised) 16% w/w, Clove oil 1.5% w/w
Temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints (backache, sprains, strains), headache (topical application), nasal congestion/cold (as a rub), insect bite itch (symptomatic relief).
Counterirritants like camphor and menthol create a cooling/warming sensation that distracts from deeper pain signals. Essential oils provide additional rubefacient and soothing effects, improving local comfort.
For external use only. Apply a small amount to the affected area and gently massage 2–3 times daily or as needed. For headache, apply a thin layer to temples/forehead avoiding eyes. For cold/nasal stuffiness, rub on chest/throat. Wash hands after use; do not cover with tight bandages or apply heat.
Common side effects of Tiger Balm Red Ointment may include:
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nostrils and broken/irritated skin. Do not use on large areas or under occlusive dressings; do not apply with heating pads (risk of burns/irritation). Stop use if severe irritation, blistering or allergy occurs. Keep out of reach of children; ingestion can be harmful—seek medical help immediately if swallowed. Use with caution in young children; consult a doctor before use in children or if pregnant/breastfeeding. Not for use on deep wounds or serious burns.
