Bacterial infections in infants/children such as otitis media, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and skin/soft tissue infections (as prescribed)

Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that blocks bacterial cell wall synthesis. This kills susceptible bacteria and helps clear infection.

Shake well before each use. Use the provided dropper to measure the exact dose; give preferably with food. Follow the pediatrician’s dosing schedule and complete the full course.

Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, headache

Not for viral infections. Avoid in cephalosporin allergy; caution with penicillin allergy. Renal impairment may require dose adjustment. Seek help for severe diarrhea, blood in stools, or allergic reactions.

Warfarin/anticoagulants, probenecid, antacids/H2 blockers (reduced absorption), live bacterial vaccines (e.g., oral typhoid)

Store as per label; keep tightly closed and protected from heat and moisture. Use reconstituted drops within the labeled in-use period.
