How It Works
Cholecalciferol is converted in the body to active vitamin D metabolites that increase calcium and phosphate absorption from the gut. It helps maintain bone mineralization and muscle function by regulating calcium-phosphate balance.
Directions for Use
Chew the tablet completely before swallowing. Usually taken once weekly or as directed by the physician; can be taken with or after food (preferably with a meal containing some fat). Do not exceed prescribed dose.

Nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, headache, increased thirst, increased urination
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, kidney stones, severe renal impairment, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disorders. Excess intake may cause vitamin D toxicity and high calcium. Monitor calcium/vitamin D levels if on prolonged high-dose therapy.
Drug Interactions
Thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcemia), digoxin/cardiac glycosides (arrhythmia risk with high calcium), anticonvulsants like phenytoin/phenobarbital (reduced vitamin D effect), glucocorticoids (reduced effect), cholestyramine/orlistat (reduced absorption)
