Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br>Use of Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Hydrochlorothiazide. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Embeta HT 50 Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
