Before you take it
Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Relieves chest pain, widens blood vessels, fast-acting
Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).
Place tablet under the tongue, do not swallow, do not crush or chew

Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
May cause drowsiness or affect your concentration. Do not drive until you know how it affects you.
Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet is recommended.<br>However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease.
Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Isordil 5 Sublingual Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Dizziness, Headache, Tiredness, Nausea, Palpitations
Do not stop or change the dose of a heart medicine on your own. Report fainting, a very slow or very fast pulse, or new breathlessness. Keep every follow-up appointment — most of these medicines need periodic blood tests or an ECG.
