Monograph
Loftair 110/50MG Caps contains Indacaterol + Glycopyrrolate and is used for this medicine is used. Prescription required.
This medicine is used in the treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and the condition your doctor has prescribed this for.
This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Indacaterol and Glycopyrrolate. Indacaterol is breathed straight into the lungs, where it opens the airways and reduces the swelling inside them, so less of the medicine reaches the rest of the body. Glycopyrrolate acts on the condition your doctor has prescribed it for.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or after food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
Throat irritation, Hoarse voice, Oral thrush, Tremor, Fast heartbeat, Headache, Nausea, Dizziness, Stomach upset
Know which of your inhalers is the reliever and which is the preventer. A preventer must be used every day even when you feel well; a reliever is for symptoms. Seek emergency care if your reliever is not working, if you cannot speak a full sentence, or if you are using the reliever far more often than usual. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after every steroid inhaler dose to prevent thrush and hoarseness. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to watch your technique — poor technique is the commonest reason an inhaler seems not to work. Use a spacer if one has been advised, particularly for children. This is a prescription-only medicine. Take it exactly as your doctor has directed, for the period directed. Do not share it with anyone else, even if their symptoms seem the same. Tell your doctor about every other medicine, supplement and herbal product you take. Report any unexpected or severe symptom to your doctor rather than stopping on your own.
Beta blockers, including eye drops for glaucoma, can tighten the airways and reduce the effect of your reliever. Give your doctor and pharmacist a full list of everything you take.
Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
