Creates a physical barrier that prevents semen from entering the vagina during intercourse. Correct and consistent use also reduces exposure to infectious body fluids, lowering the risk of STI transmission.

Use one condom for each act of intercourse. Check expiry and package integrity; open carefully without sharp objects. Put on an erect penis before any genital contact, pinch the tip to leave space, unroll fully. Use only water-based lubricant if needed. After ejaculation, hold the rim and withdraw while still erect; tie and dispose in a bin (do not flush).

Latex allergy reactions (itching, redness, rash), genital irritation, burning sensation, discomfort

Do not use if allergic to natural rubber latex. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation, rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty occurs. Use a new condom every time; do not reuse. Oil-based lubricants (e.g., petroleum jelly, mineral oil, baby oil, some massage oils) can weaken latex and cause breakage. Store properly; do not use if the pouch is damaged or expired. Condoms reduce but do not eliminate the risk of pregnancy/STIs; correct use is essential.

Oil-based lubricants and oil-based vaginal/skin products can damage latex and increase risk of tearing/breakage; certain topical medicines with oily bases may reduce condom integrity
