Monograph
Vilfuro 200 Caps contains Fluticasone furoate + Glycopyrronium + Vilanterol and is used for this medicine is used. Prescription required.
This medicine is used in the treatment of blocked nose, allergic rhinitis, nasal dryness, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
This medicine combines 3 active ingredients: Fluticasone Furoate, Glycopyrronium and Vilanterol. Fluticasone Furoate acts inside the nose to reduce swelling and congestion or to moisten the lining. Glycopyrronium is breathed straight into the lungs, where it opens the airways and reduces the swelling inside them, so less of the medicine reaches the rest of the body. Vilanterol is breathed straight into the lungs, where it opens the airways and reduces the swelling inside them, so less of the medicine reaches the rest of the body.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
Stinging in the nose, Sneezing, Dryness, Nosebleeds, Throat irritation, Hoarse voice, Oral thrush, Tremor, Fast heartbeat, Headache
Do not use a medicated nasal decongestant for more than the few days stated on the pack. Longer use causes rebound congestion that is worse than the original block. Saline drops and sprays have no such limit and are safe for repeated use. Use your own bottle only — sharing spreads infection. Know which of your inhalers is the reliever and which is the preventer. A preventer must be used every day even when you feel well; a reliever is for symptoms. Seek emergency care if your reliever is not working, if you cannot speak a full sentence, or if you are using the reliever far more often than usual. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after every steroid inhaler dose to prevent thrush and hoarseness. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to watch your technique — poor technique is the commonest reason an inhaler seems not to work. Use a spacer if one has been advised, particularly for children.
Decongestants can raise blood pressure; tell your doctor if you are hypertensive. Beta blockers, including eye drops for glaucoma, can tighten the airways and reduce the effect of your reliever.
Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
