Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin production that causes pain, swelling and inflammation.

Tablet. Take as prescribed by the doctor, preferably after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Usual adult dosing is 100 mg twice daily, but dose and duration depend on condition and risk factors.

Acidity/heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, rash, indigestion

Schedule H: Use only on prescription. NSAIDs can cause stomach ulcer/bleeding—risk increases with higher dose, longer use, elderly age, alcohol use, or history of ulcer. Use with caution in kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, hypertension, asthma, and in the elderly. May increase risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack/stroke) with prolonged use. Stop and seek care if black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, swelling, shortness of breath, or allergic rash occurs.

Other NSAIDs/aspirin (increased bleeding/ulcer risk), anticoagulants/antiplatelets e.g. warfarin, clopidogrel (bleeding risk), corticosteroids (GI bleeding), SSRIs/SNRIs (bleeding risk), antihypertensives/diuretics e.g. ACE inhibitors/ARBs (reduced effect, kidney risk), lithium (increased levels), methotrexate (toxicity risk), cyclosporine/tacrolimus (kidney risk)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
