Blood glucose monitoring system kit: Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter, Accu-Chek Active test strips (10 strips free), lancing device, sterile lancets, user manual (contents may vary by pack)
Self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) for people with diabetes (Type 1/Type 2) and for physician-directed glucose monitoring
A small drop of capillary blood is applied to the test strip which contains glucose-specific enzymes. The meter measures an electrochemical/photometric signal generated by the reaction and converts it into a blood glucose reading for display.
Wash and dry hands, insert a new Accu-Chek Active test strip into the meter, use the lancing device with a new lancet to obtain a fingertip blood drop, apply blood to the strip as directed, wait for the result. Use at the times advised by your doctor (e.g., fasting, pre/post-meal, bedtime). Do not reuse lancets/strips; dispose safely.
Common side effects of Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Meter Kit (Free 10 Test Strip) may include:
For in-vitro diagnostic and self-testing use only. Use only Accu-Chek Active compatible strips; do not use expired or damaged strips. Keep lancets sterile; do not share meter/lancing device/lancets to avoid infection transmission. Results may be affected by improper sampling, dehydration, poor circulation, extremely high/low hematocrit, contaminated hands, or incorrect strip storage; confirm unexpected results and consult a doctor. Not for diagnosis/screening of diabetes unless directed by a clinician.
