Important Warnings

Use with caution in heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, and seizure disorders. May cause tremor/palpitations; stop and seek medical help if severe allergy, chest pain, worsening breathing or severe dizziness occurs. Not for dry cough without mucus unless advised. Use caution in children and elderly; dose adjustment may be needed in kidney/liver impairment.

Beta-blockers (e.g.
propranolol) may reduce effect; other sympathomimetics may increase side effects. MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants can increase cardiovascular effects. Diuretics and corticosteroids may increase risk of low potassium; digoxin toxicity risk may increase with hypokalemia. Theophylline may increase stimulatory effects.
