Composition

Hydrochlorothiazide (20mg) + Clonidine (100mcg)

Uses of Arkamin H Tablet

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); sometimes used as add-on therapy when other antihypertensives are insufficient

• •Lowers high blood pressure
• •Reduces risk of stroke/heart attack related to uncontrolled BP
• •Useful as add-on therapy in resistant hypertension
• •Helps reduce sympathetic symptoms like palpitations associated with high BP

How it works

Clonidine is a centrally acting alpha-2 adrenergic agonist. It reduces sympathetic outflow from the brain, lowering heart rate and relaxing blood vessels, which decreases blood pressure.

Directions for use

Take exactly as prescribed, usually 1–2 times daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food. Do not stop suddenly; dose should be tapered to avoid rebound hypertension.
