Important Warnings

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to penicillins/cephalosporins or history of severe allergic reactions. Do not use if there is a history of amoxicillin/clavulanate–associated cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction. Use with caution in liver disease; monitor liver function in prolonged therapy. Dose adjustment may be needed in renal impairment. Risk of severe skin reactions and antibiotic-associated colitis (seek care if severe/persistent diarrhea). Use only for suspected/confirmed bacterial infections to reduce resistance.
