Ramipril 2.5 mg
High blood pressure, heart failure (as prescribed), post-heart attack management, and reduction of cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients; kidney protection in select patients.
Ramipril inhibits ACE, decreasing angiotensin II and aldosterone. This causes vasodilation, lowers blood pressure and reduces workload on the heart.
Take as prescribed (often once daily), with or without food, at the same time daily. Stay hydrated; rise slowly to reduce dizziness. Regularly monitor BP, kidney function and potassium.
Common side effects of Cardace 2.5 Tablet may include:
Do not use in pregnancy. Seek urgent care for angioedema symptoms. Use caution in kidney disease, renal artery stenosis, dehydration, and with diuretics. May cause high potassium; avoid unadvised potassium supplements.
