What is Cifran Oz Tab 10S used for?

Cifran-OZ Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial & parasitic infections. It is used to treat diarrhoea
gynecological and pelvic infections. It also helps treat mixed infections of teeth and gums.

How Cifran Oz Tab 10S Works

Cifran-OZ Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Ciprofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ciprofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Ornidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Dosage & Directions

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cifran-OZ Tablet is to be taken with food.<br>Taking it empty stomach can cause stomach upset.<br>Avoid Cifran-OZ Tablet with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.

Pregnancy

Cifran-OZ Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Alcohol Interaction

Cifran-OZ Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
