Disodium hydrogen citrate 1.25 g/5 ml (equivalent to disodium citrate)
Urinary alkaliniser for burning urination, metabolic acidosis (as prescribed), adjunct in urinary tract infections, helps prevent/treat uric acid kidney stones by alkalinising urine
Disodium hydrogen citrate is metabolized to bicarbonate, increasing urinary pH. Alkaline urine reduces irritation during urination and helps dissolve/prevent uric acid stone formation.
Shake well before use. Dilute prescribed dose in a glass of water and take after meals, usually 2-3 times daily or as directed. Drink plenty of fluids unless restricted.

Use with caution in kidney disease, heart failure, edema, hypertension, or sodium-restricted diet due to sodium load. Overuse may cause alkalosis or electrolyte imbalance. Consult doctor if symptoms persist, fever/flank pain occurs, or blood in urine is present.
