Important Warnings

Use only under medical advice in pancreatic insufficiency. Do not crush/chew capsules; avoid inhaling or contacting powder with skin/eyes. Use with caution in patients with gout or high uric acid (risk of hyperuricemia at high doses) and in intestinal obstruction. Rare: fibrosing colonopathy reported with very high doses (mainly in cystic fibrosis); seek medical help for severe abdominal pain, constipation or blood in stool. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to pork proteins/pancreatin; avoid use during acute pancreatitis flare unless advised.

Acarbose/miglitol (may reduce their effect)
iron salts (may reduce iron absorption in some patients); antacids may reduce effectiveness of some enzyme formulations—separate if advised
