Known side effects of ESCITALOVIS 10 TAB include Nausea, headache, dry mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, insomnia, fatigue, increased sweating, diarrhea or constipation, decreased appetite, sexual dysfunction. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings

Prescription-only medicine. Do not stop abruptly (withdrawal symptoms). May increase risk of suicidal thoughts/behaviour especially in young adults; monitor mood changes. Risk of serotonin syndrome (agitation, fever, tremor) especially with other serotonergic drugs. Can cause QT prolongation/abnormal heart rhythm—use caution in heart disease, low potassium/magnesium. May cause drowsiness—avoid driving if affected. Use caution in seizures, bipolar disorder/mania, liver impairment, bleeding disorders. Inform doctor about pregnancy/breastfeeding.

QT-prolonging drugs (e.g.
amiodarone
sotalol
certain antipsychotics
macrolides)
alcohol and other CNS depressants
cimetidine/omeprazole (may increase escitalopram levels)
