Important Warnings

Risk of serious hypersensitivity/anaphylaxis—administer where resuscitation facilities are available and observe patient after dosing. Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to IV iron, iron overload, or anaemia not due to iron deficiency. Use with caution in liver disease, active infection, asthma/eczema/allergies. Hypophosphataemia can occur, especially with repeated/high doses—monitor phosphate if symptomatic (fatigue, muscle weakness, bone pain). Extravasation may cause long-lasting skin staining—ensure proper IV access. Not for intramuscular use.

Drug Interactions

Hb Fcm 500MG Inj may interact with the following:

Oral iron supplements (reduced absorption if started too soon—generally separate by at least 5 days after IV iron)
other parenteral iron preparations (avoid concomitant use)
