What is Lglip 5 Tab used for?

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: used to improve glycaemic control in adults
as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medicines along with diet and exercise.

How Lglip 5 Tab Works

Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor. It increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), which enhance glucose-dependent insulin release and reduce glucagon secretion, lowering blood glucose with a low risk of hypoglycaemia when used alone.

Dosage & Directions

Oral tablet. Usual adult dose: 5 mg once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water. Dose adjustments and combination therapy should be as advised by a doctor.
