Important Warnings

Prescription medicine. Risk of muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis)—seek care for unexplained muscle pain/weakness especially with fever or dark urine. Monitor liver function; avoid in active liver disease or persistent unexplained transaminase elevations. Use caution in kidney impairment, hypothyroidism, heavy alcohol use, and in elderly. Stop and consult doctor if pregnancy occurs; not recommended during breastfeeding. Inform doctor of any history of muscle disorders or prior statin intolerance.

Drug Interactions

Lipigo 5MG Tab may interact with the following:

Cyclosporine (avoid/major increase in levels)
gemfibrozil and other fibrates (increased myopathy risk)
niacin (increased myopathy risk)
protease inhibitors (may increase rosuvastatin exposure)
ezetimibe (additive effects/myopathy risk)
warfarin (may increase INR—monitor)
antacids containing aluminium/magnesium (reduce absorption—separate dosing)
