Treatment of susceptible anaerobic bacterial and protozoal infections such as amoebiasis (intestinal/extra-intestinal)
giardiasis
trichomoniasis

How Metrogyl 200 Tablet Works

Metronidazole is an antibiotic/antiprotozoal that enters susceptible organisms and is reduced to reactive metabolites. These metabolites damage DNA and inhibit nucleic acid synthesis, leading to death of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.

Dosage & Directions

Tablet: take exactly as prescribed. Usually taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow with water; complete the full course even if you feel better. Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours after the last dose.
