Important Warnings

Not a rescue medicine for acute asthma attack. Montelukast has been associated with neuropsychiatric effects (agitation, abnormal dreams, insomnia, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts); stop and seek medical advice if such symptoms occur. Use with caution in liver disease. Avoid fruit juices which reduce fexofenadine absorption; separate from Al/Mg antacids. If severe allergic reaction, swelling, breathing difficulty or rash occurs, seek urgent care.

Drug Interactions

Montek Fx 180MG Tab may interact with the following:

Aluminium/magnesium antacids (reduced fexofenadine absorption)
fruit juices (reduced fexofenadine absorption)
CYP inducers like rifampicin/phenytoin/phenobarbital may reduce montelukast levels
gemfibrozil may increase montelukast exposure
other sedatives/alcohol may add to dizziness in sensitive patients
