Insulin aspart 30% (soluble) + insulin aspart protamine (crystallised) 70%, 100 IU/mL
Treatment of diabetes mellitus (Type 1 and Type 2) to control blood glucose; used when a premixed insulin regimen is required.
Novomix 30 is a premixed insulin containing rapid-acting insulin aspart and intermediate-acting insulin aspart protamine. It replaces/augments endogenous insulin to help glucose enter cells and reduces glucose production by the liver, providing both mealtime and basal glucose control.
For subcutaneous use only using the FlexPen; inject into abdomen, thigh, upper arm or buttock and rotate sites. Usually taken with meals—inject immediately before a meal (can be given soon after starting the meal if needed) as advised by the doctor. Do not mix with other insulins in the pen; do not use intravenously or in insulin pumps. Prime the pen and use a new needle each time; follow glucose monitoring and dose titration prescribed.
