Important Warnings

Not recommended in pregnancy (can harm the unborn baby); stop and contact doctor if pregnancy occurs. Use caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, dehydration/low salt (may cause excessive BP fall), and in patients with high potassium; periodic monitoring of BP, kidney function and serum potassium is advised. Rare: severe chronic diarrhea/weight loss (sprue-like enteropathy) has been reported with olmesartan—seek medical attention if persistent diarrhea occurs. Use caution when driving if dizziness occurs.

Drug Interactions

Olmighty 40 H Tab may interact with the following:

ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (higher risk of kidney impairment/hyperkalemia
contraindicated with aliskiren in diabetes)
potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (risk of hyperkalemia)
NSAIDs (may reduce effect and worsen kidney function)
lithium (increased lithium levels/toxicity)
other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive BP lowering)
